Organic Skincare Products For Better Health

Keeping your skin soft and smooth would generally make use of skincare products that are specifically designed to do these things. Unfortunately, as the demand for better results increases, more and more manufacturers are using synthetic chemicals which have undergone a lot of modifications to better achieve the desired effects that the public demands. Together with these synthetic chemicals are better results, but it also brings more dangerous chemicals into our bodies. A lot of these chemicals may seem safe at low doses, but with everyday use, these can accumulate in the body and eventually have some negative side effects.

Organic skincare is a better choice if you want to stay safe from the effects of these synthetic chemicals. There are products that are made from 100% organic materials, which means that it contains no synthetic chemicals that may possibly harm your body. Its ingredients are taken mainly from plant products and extracts, transformed into a form that can be applied on the skin and that’s it. No more using of chemicals and other techniques of extraction which results in production of harmful substances. Unfortunately, 100% organic skincare products are also very hard to find so sometimes, you would have to settle for those that are made mostly from organic materials. These may have synthetic chemicals, but at greatly reduced amounts so your risk of getting diseases from these is considerably lower.

Avoid getting sick or developing skin irritations and start using organic products today. These are guaranteed to be safer but will still have the same effect as your regular beauty products.

Organic Way Of Living A Rewarding Life

Stress! It’s everywhere you go. Most people are complaining that they dont have the luxury of time to care for their skin or their bodies so that is why many people are so into “miracle skincare”. This remains yet to be proven. Nothing can be achieved in just a short while. Skincare should be done with patience and diligence. The reward of “miracle cures” are shortlived compared to those of natural and organic remedies.

There are organic skincare products that are best used to have the effect on skin that you want for long term. Start living a healthy life and know more about the benefits of using organic skincare products. Some tips to get you by in your busy life:

Cleanse: Never sleep with make up on your face, that is the number one rule of skin care. The skin needs to breathe and unwanted chemicals just clogged up the pores thus giving you breakouts or zits in the morning. Use organic skin cleanser before bed time. Go organic to keep the skin’s natural moisture compared to the chemically based skin products.

Moisturize: The easiest thus the most neglected part of skincare. I urge you to use or purchase organic moisturizer and keep away from skincare prodcuts that might contain parabens. These chemical based skincare preservative contains toxins and its not great for the skin. Use organic ones like aloe vera, olive oil or honey as moisturizer. Chemical based skincare products needs paraben to lengthen the shelf life.

Diet: ” You are what you eat”. This  just means that when its not good enough to eat then it wont be good enough for our skin. Go for organic stuff like honey, extra virgin olive oil, honey, or cucumber, etc.. Sometimes, we just take our diet for granted but it has the greatest effect for our skin so take time to plan and know your diet and live a healthy lifestyle.

Organic Skincare Regimen: Exfoliation

It literally means shedding of the surface tissues as the top layers of dead cells are removed from the skin – EXFOLIATION. Skincare experts say that best exfoliation removes grime, dirt, eliminates dead cells, reduce excess surface oils and loosens acne plugs plus reduces blackheads.

Exfoliation is deemed important because when the skin is well-scrubbed, the cells absorbs the cream, moisturizers and lotions much better thus nourishing and adding softness to the skin. This process also is often used to manage skin disorders like dermatitis, eczema, and psoriasis.  Gentle and regular exfoliation slows down aging and rescinds appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, blemishes and skin tone.

Is it important to choose the ingredients? Yes it is since it a forceful treatment so the right technique for the right skin type should be done. For oily and combination skin type, once a week would be minimum and as for dry skin, once every 20 days is okay, organic skincare products are highly recommended ( drops of jojoba oil is recommended along with scrub for better results).

Scrubs made from our kitchen and garden are ideal to use as synthetic ones would just strip off the natural oils of our skin.  Walnuts, oatmeal, pumice stones and natural loofahs have always been the top faves. Honey when added in your scrub recipe works well for all skin types as gentle exfoliator for face and neck.

Organic Facial Products Are Effective Anti-Aging Products

If you are looking forward to making yourself look younger, then you would probably start relying on anti-aging facial products you see on the television. Aside from making your skin soft, they make your skin rejuvenated and beautiful to give you that younger looking skin. But most of us are really not aware that those commercialized products contain chemicals and substances that are more dangerous than helpful to our skin, if they are used regularly. So as an alternative, one may use an organic anti-aging facial product.

Natural and organic products are made from 100% natural ingredients and are not chemically synthesized. They are considered safer for the skin and they give the skin a new look by healing and rejuvenating the skin. Most of its users would experience a healthier skin in just a few weeks, and would see a decrease in the number of wrinkles and fine lines. One can have an anti-aging day cream, anti-aging eye serum or cream, anti-aging facial lotion, anti-aging makeup remover, and more. These products are guaranteed to contain no harmful chemicals or ingredients. So if you are buying a product soon, make sure that it is a hundred percent organic and natural.

Organic Mositurizer: Why It’s the Best Choice

Most of the people think that moisturizers are only applied and needed by the skin in the body, particularly in the arms and legs. But when would they realize that the skin on the face needs it too? Maybe it needs more compared to what the skin in the body needs? But the problem with this is that, the moisturizer to be used in the face should be perfectly safe and ok to use since the skin in the face is overly more sensitive compared to other skin in the body.

You cannot simply use moisturizers for the body to moisturize your face, you need a specialized moisturizer. But again, the problem with face moisturizers is they are expensive and they still contain chemicals that can cause harm to the skin. Good thing there are organic facial moisturizers out there.

They are completely chemical free and are made from 100% natural ingredients. They are rich with vitamins and anti-oxidants that will make your face smoother and healthier. Aside from keeping it moisturized, the face will also experience healing and rejuvenation. Organic moisturizers are quickly absorbed by the skin and deeply penetrates the skin to replenish nutrients even in the deeper layers of the skin.

How To Sleep Better

Trouble falling asleep? Here are some steps on how you can sleep better at night.

Set a bedtime schedule

Try going to bed at the same time every night. Having the same bedtime schedule will help your body set itself for sleep.

Relax

If you have a hard time sleeping at night, it’s probably because you are worried or stressed out about something. So, the best thing to do is to do things that can help you relax. Try reading a ‘light’ book or magazine, listen to relaxing music or watch a mindless movie or TV show.

Take a warm bath

There is nothing more soothing than taking a nice warm bath. This will help you loosen up and relax your muscles. If you are an insomniac, avoid taking a shower because it will only wake you up.

Skin Care Regimen

After taking a bath, make sure you pamper your skin. To keep your skin moisturized, use body lotion. You may also want to take better care of your skin by using the right skin care products. Use a cleanser, toner and moisturizer to keep your face looking younger and more glowing. If you have dark circles or wrinkles under your eyes, use eye cream. There are a lot of good eye creams available on the market. One of these is the Neutrogena Visibly Firm eye cream. I have been using it for quite some time now and it is amazing.

Healthy Intake Means Healthy Skin

We all want our skin to be healthy and blemish free. Sun, food, and other free radicals keeps us from achieving the skin we want. We all think of the sun as our enemy (well, almost because of the UV rays and the scorching heat) but do we also know that the food we eat may also have some relation in keeping our skin blemish free?

Yes, it does! Some foods we eat are too “chemically grown” thus giving us different kind of internal and external diseases. We need to check if our food is organic to avoid allergies, skin irritations and breakouts due to the toxins. Here are a few of “good” food list and keep them posted on top of your fridge:

GO for GOOD Food:
• Onions
• Corn
• Pineapple
• Avocado
• Asparagus
• Sweet Peas
• Mango
• Eggplant
• Cantaloupe
• Kiwi
• Cabbage
• Watermelon
• Sweet Potatoes
• Grapefruit
• Mushroom

These are basic food stuff we have in our home but we often overlook their significance. So next time you eat some corn on a cob, remember how it’ll be great for your skin. Stay away from oily, fatty or even “chemically packed” veggies and fruits. On my next article, I will share some secret tips on how to keep track of your diet the easy peasy way. You don’t need to STOP eating, just do things in moderation.

Rose Hip Soup for Skin Care?! Definitely Yummy!

Who says flowers are just for women and meant to fade and dry up? A big mistake. Women are really geniuses (excuse me to the men). Here is a proof of that:

How to make healthy homemade rosehip soup
Ingredients:
3 cups fresh rose hips or 2 cups dried rose hips
6 cups water
½ cups sugar
1,5 tablespoon potato starch or cornstarch
10 slivered blanched almonds (optional)
1. Rinse the rose hips, if you are using dried rose hips crush them carefully without crushing the seeds.
2. Boil rose hips for about 10 min in a covered pot.
3. Mash with a fork and strain thoroughly.
4. Heat the strain stirring while adding sugar and starch. Heat until the soup thickens and set aside to cool.
5. Serve the rose hip soup hot or cold with slivered blanched almonds.
If you’re looking for a treat serve the soup hot and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yum.

A good and easy way to eat and feel healthy and beautiful.

Smokin’ Skincare

Most women are vain when it comes to their physical appearance, who isn’t? I am guilty of that myself but not all women goes in great length to do a lifestyle check. Sophisticated women are labeled to be “smokers” but are they? For a woman who smokes and thinks that they are getting wrinkles all over means its disaster. Very true! Smoking is proven to cause more wrinkles because the skin is undernourished and starves oxygen thus resulting to drying and graying.

According to an article I read “nicotine is a powerful vasoconstrictor and restricts the ability of the blood vessel to deliver oxygen to the skin cells”. Smoking also damages collagen and elastin, these are fibers that give your skin its strength and elasticity. In addition, the repetitive facial expressions you make when smoking, such actions as pursing your lips when inhaling and squinting your eyes to keep out smoke may contribute to wrinkles. Aging can be slowed down, and you can do your part to promote a younger complexion even as you mature. All it takes is a little TLC, but start NOW! The sooner you start to nurture your skin the more chance you have of an age-less complexion. Don’t wait till your chance on achieving beautiful skin goes up in holy smokes!

Oh My HAIR!

We all love our hair and will do everything to take care of it, but how? Here are a few facts about hair care:

* Avoid too much styling experiment with hair. Coloring or perming your hair often can damage it.
* It is advisable not to perm and color hair the same day.
* Too much blow drying or hot curling can damage your hair.
* Pulling hair put strain on the follicle and this may result in permanent damage and the follicle no longer being able to grow again.
* Avoid combing or brushing wet hair as they are more fragile when wet.
* Identify the right shampoo for your hair. Every shampoo has scientific value. To get the most for your money match it up to your hair type.
* Always wear a bathing cap while swimming in the pool and shampoo your hair immediately afterwards.

Hair fall is a common issue with most people. This can happen due to varied levels of stress and anxiety, inadequate sleep, eating disorders and even improper hair care products. This can also become a major issue if sufficient hair care is not included in your lifestyle.

Try and get a hair product that suits your mane and stick to it. Frequent changing of formulations can as well affect your hair resulting into hair fall. It is recommended to visit a salon and opt for a hair nourishing spa at least once a month.

If your hair is colored, chances are high that they might start falling. Chemicals tend to invade the hair follicles and damage the interior structure. Wash colored hair with products formulated to treat it specifically. Again, an experts or specialist’s treatment would be great to ensure that chemically colored hair is healthy too.

I use a combination of coconut oil, caster oil, honey and lemon juice. At times I even add the white of an egg. I particularly take care to include a spa each month and rinse my tresses with tea leaves soaked in warm water after each wash. This gives a natural shine to my hair and also prevents hair fall.
